Default SES Code P032B

It comes back as knock sensor 2 circuit. Do I have a knock sensor going bad? Anybody got a clue? The truck has 205K on it with a 4.8.

If I remember correctly there was a bulletin about water getting under the intake and into the knock sensor holes this corroding the connections. Unfortunately the only way to tell is to remove the intake and physically check them. The bulletin also said to seal the knock sensor holes with RTV. Hope this helps.

Lame. The last thing I want to do is pull the intake. When I pulled the motor and replaced it in my SS I was smart enough to do the RTV on the knock sensor holes for this exact reason.

Now that I think about it, a few weeks ago I went hunting. I got the truck pretty muddy. I sprayed down the engine compartment to get the mud out a few days before the light came on. This must be what happened. As long as I got the intake off, what can I do to increase perf.

BTW, I have an extra knock sensor harness out of a C5. Will this work?

I would think the harness is the same. As far as improvement...plan on degunking the intake with some seafoam or something like GM top engine cleaner. It should only take like 3 or 4 hours. Keep us posted
