Default "Service Break System" ABS and E-Brake Lights On (Gears)

As most of you know I just installed new gears.

Now when I start up my truck my driver info center says "Service Break System" AND my ABS and Emergency Break lights come on.

I called CORE (did my install) and they told me this was normal, and that since I did not have my PCM tuned for the gears my rear end was spinning faster than my transmission which caused the lights to come on.

I noticed that if I turn the truck on and get the warning lights etc and then turn it right off, and back on again they go away. CORE told me that this was because the lights were actually triggered during the last time I drove so when I turn it off quickly they dont get triggered and therefore do not activate when I turn it back on again.

This makes since.

I guess i'm just curious to know if anyone else had this problem. I expected an SES light or something, but the truck acts like its about to blow up. We are talking serious beeping 2 lights and info center "Service Break System" and they dont go away unless you turn the truck off.

Comments?

I have my Westers Re-burn on the way, but I ordered it over 2 weeks ago and it JUST shipped on Monday, first time Lyndon has let me down. If its a serious problem I want to get it fixed now, if not then i'll wait till I get the Westers and hopefully it will go away.

Mine does the same thing. The lights will come on after a couple miles of driving. I just ignore them.

Pulling the bulbs will make the lights go away

If you don't want to go that route the computer upgrade should also take care of those for you. Lyndon took care of my computer for the 4.56s. It will be going in the HD after the gears go in this week.

Thanks for the input folks, eases my mind.

Lyndon has my PCM on the way, just for some reason he didnt ship it out until more than 2 weeks after I ordered it. Lyndon has always been snappy to get my re-burns to me, but this time he let me down.

No big deal, as long as it gets here. Just one of those things that no matter how carefully prepare, or how much you try to get everything ready in advance, things still get jacked up.

Oh well......back to breaking in the gears...

incorrect tire size seems to set that too, i keep forgetting to tell allen my 35's are actually 33.5's. then i get all excited when i get the new tune and forget to change it, happened three times so far. changes to the actual size fixed it everytime. e
