The rod length is shorter in the 7 then the lsx.. Ours is 6.098 vs a 6.077. Not that, that is it, but it could be part of it..

Uhm, am I missing something here? How does 370 cubes work out to be better than a 408 or larger? 370 = weak sauce IMO.

Be interesting to know if any aftermarket pistons, say for a stock length rod if the pin is in the oil ring. surely not. thats if its even made

When engine oil becomes cheaper than gas all the 408 guys will be happy they are running on it.

Seriously, oil consumption can be increased with stoke but crankcase venting methods and rpm range play a factor too.

So the Stoich man is saying run the 370.... I am certainly thinking along these lines...

Talked to Shane down at thunder racing.. I have came to the conclusion that I am going to go with a 368- 370.. He game me a pretty smoking deal on goodies, that will be a pretty badass bottom end, along with some other info I didn't know about... So tom I will call a few more places to see what they tell me... :hmm:
