they are a lot cheaper than caltracs. i might try them. also not very noticable if you paint them black(so dad wont see them).

I edited your title to make it more searchable in the future oxidizr

I know they aren't the same as helper springs, but I put helpers on my truck once and it rode like a 1 ton. Honestly, they look like they will rattle or ride rough.

Seems to me, from the way it prevents axle wrap, it would also prevent the natural dampening of the spring and would make the spring really stiff. I may be way off here but I think I would save for some Caltracks if you are really getting bad axle wrap and wheel hop.

my friend has a pair of universal traction bars from autozone. 30 bux and they work great. from a dead stop to WOT he gets a small chirp and then the 285/60/16s dig. course he aint working with quite the power some of you are either.

i installed these on the old truck, it worked pretty good.. you will need to go back and adjust accordingly to how much you want the springs to flex.... these are pretty expensive though!

I'll have to get some new videos up as I have done some more tuning with the CalTrac's. The truck, if any of you have seen the previous videos, will max out the suspension in both directions on the launch...the front tops out and the rear hit the bump stops. With the Hals at the same setting and some preload on the CalTracs the hole rear lifts about 1" and continues to resist jounce or excessive rebound causing a lack of traction. I will say no add on spring/leaf can do what these can nor can any traction bar give you the adjustability or tunability.

You can have the CalTrac's set to "stock" for best comfort and in a matter of minutes full race. Like I said, they just work. Using a different principle they simulate 4 link-like rise under acceleration.

they probably wont work. but isnt most of the suspension travel on the back half of the leaf spring. these mount in the front so only will help with axle wrap. i'll still think some more before buying them.
