safest amount of boost
#1
Whats the most boost i can run on my 5.3 i know the ati kit has like 8-9 and i'm looking at a turbocharger so should i be ok with that much boost? Also I'm going to need to upgrade fuel system what would be the best I want something i can grow with even if in the beginning it's overkill. Thanks

probably best to run water injection with higher boost levels with no intercooler,or a good custom tune.9-10 pounds with an intercooler should be no problem.

i think max boost has alot to do with the type of blower, the ati is going to be able to boost prety high expecialy since there is very little boost down low. with a turbo set up set at 9psi you are going to get 9psi alot sooner and may have detonation problems. with the whipple 6psi is hard to do when it is hot on pump gas.
