You are corred I work for Royal Purple

The company recommends changing the oil filter every 3,000 to 4,000 miles and changing the oil every 12,000. Toping off the oil every time you change the filter.

I did oil analysis on my truck before the nitrous using thr SAE 5w30 and after the nitrous using the XPR 5w30 and that is how I came up with the 5,000 mile oil filter and 10,000mile oil change interval.

If you are hard on your truck and don't want to pay the cost for XPR then change the oil at 9,000 miles with filter changes every 3,000.

I run MaxGear in my truck diff.. And the front and rear diffs on my quad. They actually run 15-20° cooler now too.

What do you base that statement on? Mine doesn't look like water when I change it sometimes a little after 3k. give or take

Well call me lazy. On stock vehicles I change the oil and filter at 10k and on moded one's I change it between 5-10k depending on how it looks and how hard i've been on it.

Why would push the oil change interval out that for with no filter change on a 7000 RPM engine.

Okay, that might have something to do w/ it! With reasonable preventative maintenance I'm guessing you might have avoided that no matter what type of oil you use...and 8k is twice as much as 4k if I did my math correctly I'll stick w/ RP either way, my truck seems to like it..

That sucks to know. I just went 4850 on my last oil change, hope it didn't hurt my motor...

Edit: Nevermind, just read the rest of the other posts. Royal Purple
