It would be very difficult for a "full bolt on" 4.8L to run with even a low boost (6-8psi) 4.8L. Granted with "full bolt ons" you'll probably spend half as much, but later on if you chose to add a forced induction system in addition to the "full bolt ons" you'd have an even more capable 4.8L, probably about ready to take a
on you.
Being that you have a very new 4.8L, I'd look to sell it before putting too many miles on it. If you have the Gen IV 4.8L with displacement on demand then motor swaps may get tricky, but if you have a Gen III without displacement on demand (also called Active Fuel Management AFM) then swapping in a 5.3L/5.7L/6.0L is rather simple. If you're looking for an easy swap, the 5.3L or 6.0L would be my suggestion. Of course, building power with more cubic inches is the easy part but on the flip side of the coin, gas prices aren't very friendly lately so perhaps a powerful 5.3L is all you'd need. I couldn't make up my mind so I split the difference and built a 5.7L.

Shoot man, just do a search. There's no definitive answer. It's all preference.
The maggy will give you more low end torque, but the turbo will have more potential I believe and it will sound cool as ****! I'd go with the turbo myself.

I'd like to see your truck turbocharged. Where the turbo makes its power is 100% dependent on the turbo you select and how you set up the system. I could just as easily design a low end turbo system to outperform even the most powerful roots blowers as I would design a nasty high revving turbo system to knock the pants off centrifugal superchargers. Unless you find some **** poor turbocharger, chances are you'll make more torque and horsepower than a supercharger with all other factors equal. For example, say you hook up a turbo system to your 4.8L and later on a supercharger system to the 4.8L, both tossing 8psi at the intake manifold. The turbo will make more power because it's more efficient, therefore putting less heat into the boosted charge, thus allowing you to add timing or more boost or both and make more power!

I love my trick turbo. But its a preference, Dont ask which one, this thread will end in a big voting debate. I would give rick a call at trick performance and call the maggie guys. See who you feel better with. They both make power, its been proven

ANY TRACK TIMES BRO??

No. It runs good though.
I had tranny problems and was outta the truck for a month, now im fixing to move and need to line my tune back in. Let me find you some realistic trick times. See the sigs for mods, times. And i do say realistic, as MANY ECSB maggie trucks have touched 11's
