are you talking about the crane 1.8 rockers? if so then for 800bucks id say hell no! lol

for cheaper than that, you could pick up a custom cam, springs, pushrods, and titanium retainers. and i garuntee you the gains will be a LITTLE bit better heh

if you just dont want to put a cam in i would look at other options first. IMO, 800bucks is wayy too expensive for the power you will gain

and if you werent takling about those... just disregard everything i just said <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

You have 1.7's in there now. I would put those way down on the priority list. Just my opinion.

yeah the cranes are the ones i was talking about. your probably right about not worth the money. i didn't know that the stock ones were 1.7. thats not helping out as much as i thought it would. thanks for the coments. i want to do a cam but i am afraid of doing it myself or taking it somewhere and have them screw up. how much would it be for (everything) to do a cam. include cam/install/accessories. thanks again.....

you could get a basic cam set up from mti. not anything for high rpms (usless if your using hypertech anyways)

get a sortof mild cam and keep stock retainers and pushrods and just get new springs to handle the extra lift. also waiting till mti has a cam special again.

not sure on exact price but cam was either 350-400, springs were like 100-150more, install with that cam special deal was 350 too.

this is one from speed demon that happened about a month ago...

</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> We are having a sale on Camshaft and valvetrain package.
Here is the deal:
Comp Cams LS1 Camshaft of your choice.
26918 Springs
Chromolly pushrods
Price: $579.95
Options:
772 Titanium Retainers $149.95

Install: $300 F-Body
$400 Vette
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">so your lookin at $880 + tax for the cam, pushrods, and springs installed

i looked at mti's and they said it was only on the b1/t1/cl cams

if you end up wanting to go that route just keep a look out in the sponsor/gp section for cam specials, they have them every month or so
