Default roller lifters?

Is everyone just leaving theis stock rollers in when you do the cam swap?
Anyone putting in new ones at the same time?

You can spin the old cam quickly to stick the lifters up in the lifter cups. For good measure, stick some 3/8" (I think) brake line through the lifter valley so it doesnt fall.

i used 16 pen magnets to hold them up in the tray while i installed my cam. Roll the cam and then use magnets to hold em up. for my second cam, i rebuilt the bottomend at the same time, and put new heads on, so the cam was really easy to install

5/16 rod will slide in the lifter valley a little better. Some guys used 1/4 and wrapped the soft side of velcro down it so there would be no scratches. Just have a pen magnet ready just in case. One of mine dropped just enough to stop the cam from going all the way in even with the rods. I just used a pen magnet to pull it back up and viola it was done. Another tip, let the truck sit overnight before you mess with it. It lets the oil drain all the way down.
