Default Rocker Arms

Just got my '02 Z71 last week, and I was looking thru some mags this weekend and saw a ad from SLP on rocker arms for only $99. I know a little about the LS1/LS6 motors but I don't know how much of them are the same. Just thought $99 was pretty cheap for a set of rocker arms.

What are some good bolt ons to start out with? I have seen a ton of different CAI's, any of them better than the others? The Volant looks to be the only one that is really sealed but I didn't know how good it was.

What about cat backs? I really don't want the typical dual out with chrome tip look like everyone else has.

for exhaust, u could get a dual 2.5" w/ whatever mufflers depending on your loudness, and have both tips exit on the side before one of the rear tires i like that, like my gibson supertruck, and that setup would kick ***, especially w/ some race mufflers.

those rocker arms are cheap! i remember the comp cams package costing way over 500bucks for 1.8ratio arms, i dont know if it would even be worth it. just spend that money on a better cam.

for bolt ons, k&n genII, asp pullies, headers by as&m or www.pvmufflers.com for hamm headers, electric fans, hypertech, blah blah blah... all those will yeild good results

I pretty much agree with "Really Slow Truck"
on the basic bolt up list. As for the exhaust, I cut mine off just behind the muffler and turned the outs down under the truck. That way you have no pipes sticking out. I like that look. Also no chrome tips to rust. I have a picture of that and other mods in my signature link.
