Rocker Arms 04 Denali?
#1
I did a search before everybody kill's me! I don't want to do a cam ever in this truck. so i thought if i did a 1.8/1.85 rocker arm swap that it would give some power. I'm looking for every little bit i can get. Do you guy's with 1.8/1.85 rockers swap the valve spring's? I really didn't want to go through all of that to do this. What are the springs in a LQ4 04 Denali? I think if this was possible to do w/out springs it could be worth a few ponies? I had a GTP Grand Prix and did a rocker arm swap and it was a noticable difference. Looking for some thought's!

I've got SLP 1.85 rockers on my SS and it was worth it. Good gain in midrange and upper RPM. High performance Chevy mag dynoed the Crane (I think) brand 1.8 rockers and it was 8 or 9 HP if I remember right. Not a huge gain, but if they're cheap enough, go for it! I got mine in trade for a rebuildable 360 dodge engine I had sitting in the garage collecting dust and taking up space, so it was a win-win for me.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I still have the stock springs.
