Default Returnless fuel system ?

Since the returnless system has the regulator mounted directly to the pump module, how does it get it's signal ? I know it's electrical, but is it something in the PCM, or what. I have searched the FSM, and there's not much mention of how it works, or how can you change the pressure. If you were to install a system like the APS Twin Pump system for the GTO's, woud it set some kind of code?

The intank FPR is just a mechanical ball/spring arrangement that opens when pressure exceeds the spec'd psi. The PCM just assumes that FP remains constant. This would be removed when you install the dual intank setup.

You will be adding a return line and external boost/vac referenced FPR with the type of setup you are talking about. So you will need to change the IFR table in your tune.

Looked at their install guide and I'm not sure how they keep their "surge tank" filled.

But what is the plug in connector on the factory regulator. Couldn't we just somehow change the spring in the regulator, then, to keep the pressure higher?

yeah but the walbros tend to have a hard time keeping up with higher pressures. that would also be alot of trial and error.

What did you do for the electrical conection to the factory regulator? Just leave it off? Any codes?

There is a vapour pressure sensor on the top of the fuel module but no feedback for fuel pressure. There are different styles of intank FPRs. Here's some shots of the one that was in mine.

AhhhHaaa! I thought there was some kind of plug in to the factory regulator. Thanks for clearing that up!

Any more thoughts? I wish I had an extra one here to look at.
