Default Resistor in 4wd panel harness?

So I recently bought the fill panel from a 2wd silverado, the cubby hole deal. I have the service 4wd light on constantly now, just wondering if putting a resistor(s) in the 2 harnesses that plug into the back will work? Also which wires do I want to connect together with the resistor? Any help would be awesome!
-Thanks
