Removing Oil Cooler
#1
I just bought a 6L LQ4 engine with only 12,000 miles on it. I bought it because I got it pretty cheap. I intend to install it in a first generation Camaro sometime this summer. The engine has provisions for an oil cooler with the two oil lines connected at the engine just above the oil filter. I don't think I will use an oil cooler in the Camaro as I doubt they’re needed for such a light car. Any suggestions on how I can block the two holes in the oil pan where these two oil lines are connected?
Thanks,
Pikanjoe

Trucks that did not originally have an oil cooler just have a little blockoff plate in the location you are describing. It is only a few bux from the stealer, and remember to get the gasket for it too.
