Does it matter which wires you connect on the IAT sensor pigtail?

There's only 2 wire's to connect and if its GM tail the colors should be the same anyways..

It does not matter which way you splice the wires as long as you have the right ones from the MAF for the stock IAT sensor.

i just relocated mine about a month ago. I have a k&N FIPK kit which has a metal heat shield to keep the air filter out of the engine bay. I could tell it would get kinda hot at times. So i relocted mine into the air tube about 4" before the throttle bodie. I used a rubber grommet and sensor and harness that i got from the local junk yard. It has worked every since i have done it. Now, i still need to have my truck tuned bc i swapped a cam when i done the change. So, i will know more when my local tuner tunes her. figured it couldn hurt anything i mean its still in the air flow outside of the motor. Has to help something rather than hurt anything. Worth a try for me.

I went to a SD tune so I moved mine to about 4" before the throttle body.
it' skind of hard to see in this picture but it's mounted at 6:00 below the Meth nozzle. The two Meth nozzles are on the same plane so they don't seem to be having any drastic impact on the IAT sensor.

good reading right here. where are the guys who did this in 2009? what were the results, any dyno or track times, or logs even to prove this is a worthwhile mod?

I find this thread puzzling. This is exactly the opposite of what the 4th gen Fbody guys were doing. They were moving the IAT to the earliest point (away from the throttle body) in the air intake system.

I guess it shows you always want what you don't have.
