"Reduced Engine Power" can mean a couple things. If I remember correctly, the two main causes are either a bad throttle position sensor or the truck overheated.

Probably a few other causes for that message. I used to get it at WOT for too much airflow through my MAF until I fixed in the tune. So it could also be a bad mass airflow sensor.

I sometimes get that when I update the tune with hpt. After I clear the code it works fine.

Is the truck all stock? This msg can be all sorts of things. If the TB is stuck or sticking, bad ground, bent contact on the pigtail, broken wire...have u played with the TB or Tb wiring lately? U can clear it by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then touching the 2 battery wires together - sort of a 'reboot' - but its not something I'd do often. If the problem is intermittent the msg will disappear and TB will operate normally until next occurrance. If it wont go away, I'd start with the TB & cables and work back from there. R/

yep, just to take the option away from the stealership to blame it on the air box, because they will.

Check all your wire connections sounds like something got left disconnected when you installed the HID's.

Whats a HID? Wudnt worry about the airbox, no impact on warranty...all the work I did on mine they never gave me any issues with warranty work (I stuff I let them touch!).
