Default 'recalibrated' window switch?

Tybrne wants $40 more for a 'recalibrated' MSD window switch for LS1's - do I need mine to be recalibrated? Ive read some posts in the nitrous forum that said something about cutting two wires or that the recalibration is BS or something like that.........is it the same for our trucks? What about the NOS or NX switch? I've read about Harlan's switch but I dont want to wait an excessively long time and it sounds rather complicated to set up compared to plugging in 2 pills in the standard ones.

And I guess most importantly, do I need to be worrying about a window switch with a 50 shot and a Yank3000 stall ? Does a 3k stall warrant a window switch more so then stock - or other way around?

Thanks

I never had a window switch on my last truck and would spray 100+ shots. I have a MSD now, although its not installed yet. I was planning on cutting the two loops (which the instructions say is for 4 cyl operation).

On a 50 shot and a 3K stall, I bet you can get away with only a WOT switch and never have problems.

Yea I'd like to know this as well. If you have a window switch set at 3000 RPMs, and your TC is a Yank3000, does it all happen at once? I don't know if I'm asking this correctly

I've got a wot switch and an on/off switch in the truck. This works well on the street. I turn it on after I'm already rollin at wot and the tires don't spin as much. At the strip I put it in the on position and yes it happens all at once.

grey, do you have a stall?

I would think that a stall would almost act as a cushion in a way.......maybe if it does spray under 3k, its not putting "all" that power through the tranny until 3k, which in turn is less load on the motor under 3k - does that make sense? or would it be the same stress on the motor under 3k regardless of stall?
