The teflon coating doesn't work worth a damn anyway. Half of the throttle bodies I get on core return are COVERED with soot and gunk with the coating still in place. I've found that polishing the throttle blade actually works a bit better than the coating... I'll take off mine and get a pic if I can remember to this week...

Yep, that's what I meant...mostly Toyota. We used to use carb cleaner on their throttle bodies on a daily basis, before we started using BG induction cleaner. I have seen guys do side jobs on Chryslers, Hondas, Fords, etc. and use the carb cleaner with no problems...might be the brad of carb cleaner also, needless to say we used Toyota carb cleaner since that's what we had.
