the 317 casting is very similar to a ls6 head except the combustion chamber is larger, you said you had an LQ9 so you should be right around 10:5.1 compression so milling the heads down 30 thousands should give you 11:1 compression. Guys correctly if I'm wrong.

My goals are to break into the 12s fairly deep in the 12s now with the cammed sprayed 6.0 it shouldnt take much more i would assume. so i guess just a street bruiser.

As right now it has 3.73s i have 22s running on 305/40s. Im in cali and i have to smog next year (but i got a guy) so i dont mind going LTs but that would take somrtime to save for them.

For gas mileage thats not a big deal wish i could get better but not a concern.

And it has to play nice with the giggle gas i know that has alot to do with the tune but just thought id trow that in.

And as far as keeping up with other cars mustangs, lightnings, gto, basically i want to know i can put up a good fight if not win against something/someone that might want to play

How much are you going to spray? N20 likes higher compression, but the combo requires race gas or meth with 11:1+. Its similar to boosting, you have to figure out now what you want - compression vs boost vs timing.

Ill be spraying at least 150 wet. I have the Trick performance controller so i can do a progressive shot if i want more.

But the first few shots will be low until we get everything dialed in but i want to end up spaying min. 150.

Im willing to say that i dont want to use race gas being this is my daily and i thought meth was used mainly foir FI but anyrate no meth either.

Your not going to want 11:1 spraying 150 shot, thats a definite need for fuel. I'd stick with the 6l heads. I can't remember stock LQ9 compression, I got a virus and lost all my tech.

I'd really like to see if you could get low 12's all motor LQ9.

I'm guessing my essentially stock LQ9, except 93 tune, in ecsb would run mid to high 14s. So if you could knock 2-2.5 seconds off that with just bolt ons and a cam....wizzow..
