Default RCSB with LT's

I have a '00 RCSB silverado with pacesetter LT's and magnaflow 3" exhaust. It has an LS1 with a custom cam, ported heads, lsxrt intake, ect. The truck is loud. I've tried a dynomax super turbo muffler, it quieted it down a bit but sounded horrible at WOT.
What are you guys with long tubes on regular cab trucks doing to keep the noise down? Being a short wheelbase there's really not much room under the truck. I'm trying to keep the as much of the magnaflow exhaust as possible. Thanks!

with my rcsb ls1 I first ran a single 3" exhaust with a 3" turbo muffler, really choked the power down.

Next was 2.5" true duals with two 2.5" turbo mufflers, dumped under bed. power was great but sounded like crud.

Now....x pipe, two 2.5" magnaflows 22" body straight through mufflers. Dumped under bed, Quiet at idle, screams at wot, no drone at all.

Put a bigger magnaflow muffler in there.

Magnaflow makes a 36"/7" muffler, but if I use it I may have to delete my tailpipe.

Full single three inch from the y-pipe back, was a flowmaster 40 series, but then went to a spintech, still a three inch rear side angled exit.

this is my 4" catless exhaust with a Magnaflow 14". I kinda like it. But may swap the muffler out with a 20" magnaflow to tone it down alittle.

^^^^^ That doesn't sound to bad. Hell I am running single 4'', a HUGE edy muffly Like 9'' around and 24'' long and it is still loud, also a dynatech turbine tip. I have no room for anything else under there. :/

Lol, its hard to get a good sounding video clip of the exhaust. It's not bad if I keep it under 3k. But gets really loud and pops with anything higher. And with a 245mm 3700rpm torque converter it requires at least 2800 just to keep up.with traffic. I've already noticed the cops are following me a lot more. Once I get the procharger installed and the fuel system worked out ill work on the exhaust some more.

I agree with everyone else... I would definitely stick with a magnaflow or some other straight through muffler design. The bigger the better. Maybe cionsider adding smaller magnaflow mufflers where they will fit to keep it under control.

The straight through mufflers generally sound pretty awesome under heavy throttle but keep things civil at idle etc...
