ram air hood
#1
I was thinking about getting a ram air hood for my 2000 silverado, I was looking at this suncoast ram air hood and it said 10-20 % more hp and better mpg, is this even close to the truth?

nope, not even close to that much. that is definatly a marketing lie. dont be a sucker for that. you wont really see too much of a benefit from ram air, just minimal things. i have it. it seems i get about 1 mpg better in the city. also, SOTP when i first had it put on, I felt somewhat of a gain at high speeds. i dont feel it anymore though of course. its mainly for looks. i would think that you would have to be driving pretty fast to get anytime of air really rammed in there. i do believe it lets the vehicle breath a little bit better (more colder air coming in)
