Default Radix Intercooler and AC Perfromance?

I see the intercooler mounts in front of everything. I guess this is optimum for the S\C but what about the AC condenser? Has anyone with e-fans in a hot climate experienced a lack of cooling due to the heat off intercooler? I'm talking about idling or in stop and go city traffic?

I have FAL 292's and have not experienced any cooling problems. I do have the upgraded aluminum heat exchanger which I would definately recommend. I also have a 180 T-stat. My truck "temp guage" reads around 195-200. Often times reads higher than actual temp.

The AC still gets ice cold as well. I would just be sure to get the upgraded h/e

I didn't know there was an "upgraded' version.

It is worth it, especially in the heat.

Good timing. I was just wondering that myself today. Since it just started creeping over 90 here in FL, I kick on the air when I pick up my kids. I roll with the windows down and the radio up. It seemed to take aminute or two before the air flow got cold. It actually felt like it was blowing warm air longer than usual. After a minute though it cooled righ down and stayed that way. Might be the intercooler, might not be the intercooler. This was parked, not moving, so that probably played a role.

Default Maybe The I\C Will Burn Off...

...some of the humidity off before it hits the AC condensor and help. High humidity reeks havoc on the exchange anyway.

Baumgardner2051, do you have e-fans? Two big reasons I added them to my 03 was for the purpose of gaining city mpg and keeping the AC cooled down in stopped traffic. The OE clutch fan at idle just didn't cut it in the GA wet heat.

I would mount the IC else where and add a couple of fans but my electrical system works so well as is I will not add anymore amp draw.

Well I detailed the ATV (from an earlier detail)today prepping it for the sale of it. I'll miss her. The photo shoot is tomorrow and the add will go in. I should net 5k. Somewhere the is an IC stardust Radix kit with my name on it.
