No, NO! I'm not a cop! I just bought a used cop car a few years ago. In fact, my 94 caprice was in service with the Plano, TX PD. I flew down to DFW, picked the car up, and drove it back to Pittsburgh. It's actually been a GREAT car, I only put about 300 miles on it since 2001. I've been working overseas, and when in the states, out of town working, so it's just been sitting.
It'll get a workout this weekend

Well, I'm gonna next day the Superchips programmer back to Magnuson tomorrow. I THINK that's my problem, either the programmer is bad, or the program is wrong, and it won't make contact with my pcm. I really don't think the pcm is damaged, or it wouldn't even run. I'll just have to get back to it Friday, I have to leave for DC in the next few hours. I might get some TR6's in the meantime.

You know....I never thought about that! I think I saw on the pulley it said 3.4. I'm not close to the truck right now, but on the packing slip, it says 6 rib, 3.400 pulley. It says under microtuner 04 GMC Sierra 5.3, and the rest of the instructions look to match.

Sent the programmer out red label to Tony. He'll get it tomorrow, and take it over to Magnuson and have their tuner check it out. That HAS to be the problem. I've eliminated everything else. Straightened out the voodoo problem (misplaced ground), and actually got the truck running on the stock tune (so I'm pretty sure the pcm is ok). I only ran it long enough to move it out of my friend's shop so he has room to work. Hopefully they'll get the programmer back to me by Thursday, so I can finish the truck when I get home Friday. Updates coming this weekend.

Quick update. Sent the Superchips programer back to Magnuson, and they said it did have the incorrect programming in it. An honest mistake. Not a problem. Should have it back by Thursday, and the truck running by Friday afternoon.
