I have had mine for about 4 to 5 months.....so far so good

 

the dougs are 600 a set not a piece, but they are stainless and problem free.

i love mine . had them on for about a year with no problems what so ever.

 

I realized they were junk after installing it. There's no auto. stop on them, instructions say 4.3 seconds to open or close and if you go past that you will bend the butterfly and or burn the motor out...... just a matter of time before somethings going wrong. The Doug's gear drive seems the way to go but they are pricey.

prolly will be going with those now. Dougs got bought out by a larger company and i can't find a site for them really cause i want to talk and bitch about my QTP's to them and make sure i won't have these issues again.

O and i have this posted on 5 different sites and will put all these into an eail and send it to QTP so they can see what people think... well basically just a slap in the face

 

WOW, I wish I would have know before I bought my QTP cutout. But with mine mounted in behind the turbo, it seams to be lasting a long time. Over a year with me driving it over 300 miles a week, and opening or closing the cut-out every day.

 

i posted all the issues from 3 different sites that i got within 24hours to them in a very nice and let them know what ones i will be using. I will let you know if they decide to contact me back.

How hard is it to keep the motor on? Does anybody know why the motor falls off? Is it just held on by some machine screws? Any body have any pics of how it's held on?

 

it's held by 2 screws in his 2nd pic.
had mine on for 8 months now with no problems.
people just need to know how to install them the right way.

 

Those aren't the 2 screw thats came off. Its the ones that actually go into the motor of it. one back out enough to where it just spun on the other and came off.

and they told m they put loctite on the screws yet there was not a trace of any on mine...
