Default Quick question for electric fan owners

When measuring the radiator, is it the overall radiator, or just the vent area. Mine is 28" on the vent area, then it is 34" for the overall. Want to get fans, but not sure which application I need to run!

If you wanna go cheap fans do the LS1 fans and the Flex-A-Lite VSC. That'd be a nice setup for $200 or so.

Where do you guys buy the VSC at? Just helped a friend install a ATI procharger on a TransAm, and what a conincidence, you have to remove the factory LS1 fans.

I think I got mine from www.truckperformance.com for $70. ATI's on F-bods come with a smaller fan hence yours...

ebay normally has them for cheap. junkyard too. if on ebay, send the seller a question, ask him if he will sell offline, that way you get it...with the price being right of course. however, one thing to consider is the condition, if on ebay, make sure you ask if the fans are cracked up or not. my set came cracked up a little, not too bad, but i would have preferred them be crack free...also, make sure they come with the plugs. no one told me to get plugs and i didn't ask. now i have to go the junk yard to find them.

these fans are the same ones in a f-body correct? if so will they pull enough air for the motor, to run at the correct temp?sorry i am a little confused in this area. i know if i can get rid of the growth on the front of the motor it will make a substancial differance in the performance of the truck(fan clutch)i have been eyeballin the flex-a-lites or the b-cool versions but just can't seem to commit.
