quick question..

when installing an underdrive pulley (5.3), is installing a new harmonic balancer bolt necesary?? thanks in advance

I believe the stock bolt is a TTY bolt and should not be reused. Some people will reuse them and it maybe all right if you are not turning a SC.

cool thanks fellas, for what its worth might as well get one hugh, i belive summitracing has them for like five bucks plus shipping.

yes. Replace it.

For less than $10, its just a very cheap bit of insurance, rather than re-using the old one.

I've replaced a bunch, I've re-used a bunch with locktite and 250 ft lbs. Ive never had an issue on NA engines.
