Default Question for the board

I have a 2000 gmc and one of the cats laid down.. and was debating getting 2 new cats and just get a offroad pipe and have the rear 02 turned off..

Really don't want it to be loud (been there done that)

Cats installed are close to $400 or so.. and Offroad with tune about $225..

Anybody here running offroad with full exhaust .. how loud is it..

I have a Magnaflow catback on it... Thanks!

Lose the cats and have it tuned, and save the money. I have no cats and a dual inlet and outlet muffler and it isn't bad. I have a Corsa resonator for sale on here that I need to post pictures of. If you take the cats off and it is too loud and you aren't happy you could buy that resonator from me and still be cheaper than replacing the cats, and with the tune and everything you would make more power and get better gas mileage

It'd be easier to get it inspected with hollowed cats.

I would do that, but really don't want to hack it up.. just worried about the sound it might make with the empty cats.. don't want a swooshing noise.. I know the Mustangs did.. but that was 4 small cats and not 2...
