That chart just proves the point that the muffler doesnt change hp/tq enough to notice 365-374 is variance of 9 hp across the test and the tq wasnt much different across the board..... As the text on the lower right of the chart said,go with what sounds best..... Going from a super 10 to anything else will give the placebo effect but theres nothing compared to a flowmaster if thats the sound youre after....i personally wanted my truck to be kind of obnoxious, couldnt see doin all this work to it for it to be quiet!!!

Was researching mooflers one day, they pop up when i search "hooker max flow". There are more but those provide what most people are looking for.

Agree with being sweet charts, but is that really enough of a difference to actually rule out the tolerances of the dyno??

Do they specify what vehicle and series of Flowmaster muffler they used for the comparison test? The reason we ask is because Flowmaster produces over a dozen different series of mufflers and the performance and sound characteristics are greatly dependent on selecting the correct muffler for the specific vehicle application.

why do people say "bought a magnaflow, didnt like it". magnaflow makes a ton of different size and shape mufflers. if its too quiet, you bought one thats too big. if you dont know anything about magnaflow case sizes vs sound, ask someone who knows or has magnaflow on a similar setup before you buy. if setup right, and with the right size muffler, magnaflow sounds great on damn near anything. i run dynomax ultraflo which is extremely similar but i love the sound. im definitely happy with it

Because I took it to a well know muffler shop in Houston, told them my situation and current set up, and they picked out the magnaflow that I had put on, I didn't know they had shorter casings or anything and I went with it because I guess it sounded alot louder in their shop than outside. It's ridiculously quiet,it makes less noise than when I had a super 40 and stock truck but it has a nice deep tone but I miss the nasty super 10(minus anything it did over 3000rpm) so Im gonna go get a 44 and a short resonator
