Default Push rod?

I have a Z06 cam in my 6.0L with the stock push rods and I am going to switch to comp 7.425 push rods. I found them pretty cheap so I figured it wouldn't hurt. My question is will it make any power difference due to the added length? Does the push rod length affect the lift of the cam since it has a smaller base circle?

huh? no, pushrods only keep the rocker geometry right. Are you sure those are the length you need?

Stocker's are 7.4. The ls6 cam has a smaller base circle so you are supposed to use 7.425's in the truck motors.

that's what I've always heard too, in the midst of ordering a set of those rods and yellow springs for my ls6 cam swap as well. found a pretty good deal at a local shop.

I am pretty sure that's the length everyone uses for the ls6 cam. I may be visualizing this wrong in my head so this was probably a stupid question. I am just wondering if the difference in preload will make a difference.
