Default purging into area behind grille...

would it be a bad idea to purge in that area - just have the hose pointed down towards the trans cooler from the top corner near the headlight. I cannot find a convenient place to purge and my purge kit came with a plastic hose. Would it be bad for freezing nitrous to come in contact with the trans cooler or radiator?

I think it might hurt it in the long run, making a weak spot. Do you want the purge seen? If so, just route it under the windshield cowling or the hood. If not you could purge it down the back of the engine.

I dont see what it would hurt since you are only going to be purging for 1-2 seconds.

yeah, as long as its not directly on a part of the radiator. I know the point of purging, but wouldn't you want to see the fog, to tell if you got all the air, and what content is coming out?

Well its best to be able to see when the pure nitrous comes out, but almost always it takes 1 to 2 seconds. I'd kind of like to keep it hidden, although if there was a convenient place near the wiper cowl I would do that.........but I've looked around for a long time, and without drilling holes there really isn't a convenient place to put this plastic hose.

I'll probably just put it towards the ground or something, so it doesnt freeze anything and remains 'stealth'

I was thinking that maybe it would cool off trans cooler or radiator if I shot it in that area......but I dont know

i bought the NOS 5177 kit, and it came with a T fitting, two little braided lines and two nozzles that were supposed to be used in the f-body airbox. well i instead used them for my purge system.

i got a better idea, run that line up to your air box and now you have a 2 stage set up, you can just purge thru your motor, rev it up a little and bump it a few times.

2stage!!!!
