It seems with my factory stall I can only get near 2psi when I stall it up. The funny part is that it's not slow 0-20, it's just not whicked like it is after 20mph!!

I was looking to spend around $7000(or more if need be, this is only budgeted for the FI guys, I have more $$$ for extra parts like a stall and cam). I like the STS, but don't want to have to worry about the lag. I know a stall would help, but I want something with power off the line and good top end. Is there a system like that? I also like the Procharger unit. Thanks for the info guys, keep it coming.

Talk to allen at nelsonperformance.com he is an sts dealer and can tell you anything you want to know about the sts's. A radix will give you awesome off the line power but in most situations you wont be able to get enough traction. The advantage of a turbo is that it may not give you instant response but once you get going to where you could actually make use of alot of power you will have PLENTY of it there. Upgrade to a bigger turbo meth and turn up the boost. F8tlz71 i thinks his screen name was running 12.7's in a z71 with just a few other mods and driving it everyday. I would get one if it werent for the turbo placement. I dont think the turbo would like sucking mud.

It's all in the turbo sizing... If you stick with the base model turbo STS offers you'll have plenty of low end. It's only when you start going to far on the upsizing that it gets lagy and even then it's not really a bad thing because it keeps you from blowing off the tires at every stoplight. Also makes for less tickets that way. LOL
The lag didn't bother me all that much. In fact I am setting up my new truck to have the same amount of lag so as to make daily driving much easier on these 20's but have the top end pull like a F14 Fighter Jet! That's the cool thing about turbos. You can make as much low end or top end as you want. Sometimes with the same turbo just by changing the exhaust housing side and that only cost about $150-$200.
Ohh, I went a best of 12.3@110 with my STS kit. At my raceweight that calculates to 520-550rwhp. The motor was holding up to the power great too.
