Would a window switch be necessary for 100 shot dry on the 5.3 tahoe in my sig? The window switch would be to avoid having the transmission shift an extra 100hp. Could the stock tranny handle it safely without a switch? Also, would using auto 4wd be a good idea to avoid spinning, or would the transfer case die under the extra load? What kind of hp can the 4wd system handle? Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated.

Can't comment on the other stuff but, your 4wd system will definately handle it no problem. I just use 4HI, autotrac does this chattering wheel hop thing when you put alot of power to it.

With a 100 shot dry shot I don't think you need a window switch.I know my cousin has run a 100 shot wet for more than a year with no window switch and no broken transmission. He may be lucky or his tranny may be on borrowed time but he drives the truck daily and tows trailers frequently.

You dont have to ahve a window switch but it sure is a damn good piece of insurance in case you bump your rev limiter while spraying. It wouldnt let you. That is a very bad thing if it happens! I got the MSD pn#8969 digital WS(dont have to use th pills) for like $85 and its a nice piece! Plus with a WS you dont spray through the shifts and that is a very good thing! My buddy CRAZYCUTER4.8 sprays 220 shot with just a hurst coil button!
