Preparing for the dyno

The only problem is, none of us have dynoed before and we don't want to walk in there looking like complete idiots. Question....sorry if this is post-jacking, but I figured it was relevant. When I did my dyno pulls I commanded 3rd gear and went WOT....first time it was fine, pulled all the way through 3rd. Second and third time it still downshifted into 2nd, even though I had commanded 3rd with HPT....any idea why?

David, I think that truck will dyno good... but our rwhp numbers will probably be 50hp or so apart. Judging from other guys with my similar mods.. im hoping to get low 300#'s for rwhp... now tq... or lack there of... im willing to bet the number wont be much higher than the hp numbers

umm... probably not before the dyno.. but def. before the next time i go to the track. Im going with a fuddle and its $450 shipped for the 3500 stall i want to build.
