Default PRC 2.5 5.3s on LQ9

I have been searching around but havent found too much info on installing these heads on an lq9. I read about opening it up for the 4" bore. Is this needed? I got a really good deal on these heads and I would like to use them but I dont really want to mill or take anything off of them. How do you think this setup would run?

you'll be fine, dont mill them, use a stock head gasket 52mm, your compression would be just over 12, tune for 93 and you wont have any issues..

I didnt think it would be that high. In THIS THREAD, Calspeeds truck was at 10.9:1 with a 5 layer gasket. BTW thanks for responding

jus checked it out, thanks for the correction, i could have swore when i put the 706 casting 2.5s on my lq9 richard at WCCH calculated compression over 12 ? but to answer your orginal questions i'd used them and you should run pretty darn good!

That almost scared me away from this set up. 12 wouldve been a lil too high for me and they dont sell 93 anywhere here in vegas so I'd be mixing 91 and 100.

What was your setup? I tried searching through your posts but couldnt find anything.
