I'd love to be able to drive it hard, but that's hard on my wallet and I'm cheap

If i go the Efans route, what should i get, just some ls1 fans? Do they require cutting and modding to fit a 03 radiator? What about a tranny cooler?

Only thing that you have to fab for the LS1 fans are brackets to bolt them in to the top, it's pretty straight-forward. The now famous trucool 40K is a nice upgrade and fits into your budget also...actually I'd probably do a trans cooler along with the converter, or before the converter the more that I think about it. Strengthen the trans first, then go for the performance mods. What about a shift kit, servos, and trans cooler? Hmmm...a lot of options...

Ahh. Well for right now I think Just the small stuff like mentioned earlier, so that it'll be out of the way for bigger mods in the future!
...

I'm getting some new infinity door speakers from my girlfriend cause she doesn't understand all the performance stuff. I can't really race it right now, since my low income can't pay for parts that might break on me. If I COULD I'd be ordering a wet kit from Nitrous outlet for $270, buuuut i got shot down pretty quick on that one.

I'm thinking efans, tune, shiftkit/servos, and MAYBE the stall. I would get an UDP if they were a bit cheaper. How much would the stall hurt my mileage, because with this recent tank I'm only getting about 15 -16 babying it. I did fill up with 10% ethanol on accident though
Wideband allows u to monitor what's goin on. No, it won't add performance, it'll give insight on day-day happenings. It's about planning for your future & those bigger mods.

If she knows what speaker part number u wanted, performance parts are just another number.
Who shot down the nitrous kit?

LS1 efans will help keep costs down. '05 Efans will blow budget cause now u need a bigger radiator. Actually, just about any ideas other than speakers or WB will necessatate a tune to optimize a given mod, IMO.

For the money Glen is the guy to hit up on a tune, other things to think about are gears, stall, headers and y-pipe, shift kit, e-fans, servos, ls6 cam and springs if you go that route hit me up ill stick em in for ya. btw I went 290 miles down there in the city with yall and burned 18 gallons. you do the math.
