I doubt youll hit 300 rwhp...

maybe 275-285...... Which would still be good for a 4.8

I dont know much about the compression and flow... but would it be better to just use some 5.3 heads.. or maybe even some 6.0l heads if they will fit....

4.8 and 5.3 have the same heads and the 6.0 heads would cause you to lose some compression. The 6.0 head has a 71.06cc combustion chamber and the 4.8/5.3 heads have a smaller 61.15 cc combustion chamber.

couldn't say what power I am putting out but my 4.8 ran a 13.87 @95 with cam, stall, and ported 4.8 heads. I was losing traction pretty bad so I figure a 13.5 or so was possible.

There is no reason not to see 300+ rwhp on a 4.8 with a decent size cam and some mild head work.
