Porting 4.8 heads?

Well i think this summer my engine builder is going to teach me how to port and polish some heads..I figured we could use the heads off my truck...Whats typical gains with ported 4.8 heads? would i be close to 300 hp?Right now all i have is k&n intake mti tune flowtech cutout and aeroturbine muffler

I doubt youll hit 300 rwhp...
maybe 275-285...... Which would still be good for a 4.8
I dont know much about the compression and flow... but would it be better to just use some 5.3 heads.. or maybe even some 6.0l heads if they will fit....

There is no reason not to see 300+ rwhp on a 4.8 with a decent size cam and some mild head work.
