Default ported throttle body questions

what is the consensus on these things?
is it worth the money?
where do you get these? who makes the best?
is there a trade-off? or is is pure power and throttle response increase?

is this one good?
http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/tbls1fg.html

thanks for putting up with the questions

I did mine myself. I would definatly do it again. The bore is the same size. Souposed to be good for 500 hp or something like that, I just ported and polished the incoming side before the throttle blade.

I was thiking more like something like 3-5...... I think its a more complimenting mod than a power mod...

I really dont know for sure.... but I just cant see it being more than that...

Well, I am getting my Shaner ported TB in the mail Friday. So I plan on installing in as soon as I can. Let ya know what my results are. I was told typical gains to be about 5 hp, but that there have been occurances of upwards to 15 hp gained with some tuning. Note that these gains are not frequent.
