plugs for 5.3l w/ whipple

Default plugs for 5.3l w/ whipple

Just wanted to know what plugs are recommended for 2000 5.3l?! I've been told to use oem ones by the shop that did install,others say you need a cooler plug.At this time I do not hear any denotation tho. thanks for the replys.

The Ngk tr55 and tr5's are common. For N2O applications, you would want to run a cooler plug, like the tr6. There are a few guys here with whipple's some say the plugs came with them others not. Look up 1999stepside member #1893 and email him. You should use coppers.

I was told to use the TR6 plugs. They are pretty cheap (compared to a supercharger) and have copper cores.

Search for "plugs" in the forced induction section and see what comes back.
