Post plug wires???

A guy i know told me that Granatelli came out with a new plug wire and mass air sensor setup that was guaranteed 40hp. he said 2 magazines have tested it on the ls based motors and it gave them at least 40hp. i was just wondering if anybody has heard about this and if it really gives that much, i find it kinda hard to believe that much just out of wires and air sensor but i dunno.

It seems pretty overated to me, did he tell you the magazines he saw this in? I know wires aren't going to put out any major numbers and I heard that aftermarket MAFS aren't anything special as well, but I'm trying to figure out if that is true right this moment..

maybe on a horiable tuned motor with FI . then they added this and did a good tune on it . theres no way a maf and some wires can do 40 horse on a relatively stock motor with minor bolts on

I think I remember this magazine. Not the name....it was an article on Granatelli and the products they offer. The before and after HP numbers were performed on a dyno in the Granatelli shop by a Granatelli employee. Take that for whats its worth. If they were worth 40hp, at $400, everybody on this site would have one. Get a custom tune instead.

it was in Chevy HiPerformance... they tested wires, airflow meter and an air box...all Granatelli products. their claiming 50+hp. i, too am kinda skeptical about it.

Its all BS. I have a Granatelli MAF on my truck Ill sell you for 150 if you want it and do your own testing. Plug wires are not worth anything as far as gain IMO maybe 2hp The intake if you are tlaking about a CAI would be worth 15hp at the MOST. Dont waste your money. But seriously if anyone wants a Granatelli MAF to try it out Ill sell mine for 150 plus oyur stocker.

Sounds like a bunch of snake oil...the only way that wires are gonna get you any hp is if yours are bad and you're running on 5 cylinders. They may be worth .0001 hp maybe. As for the the MAF sensor, everything that I've heard or read has ranged from zero to negative gains. For the price tag of the MAF, you can get a custom tune and achieve gains that you'll actually feel.

Heh i actually saw their plug wires listed on summits site... 177$ for plug wires (truck) or 195$ (LS1/LS2), uh yea sure... If i want to buy flashy wires i think i'll stick with the 8.5mm MSD wires.

Is it me or is Granatelli's claims seeming more and more like a big
