Spark plug socket and an open end wrench, or another socket on top of the spark plg socket.

I just put another socket over the spark plug socket and have never had any problems.

I always use the spark plug socket with a 1" extension and it's always a piece of cake. Maybe I have more clearance from the Gibson shorties? (hopefully not for long though )

I don't have a 1" extension but my 3/8" drive swivel works just about as well.

After getting used to spending hours changing plugs on my LT1 Trans Am, I almost pissed myself from excitement when it only took me 20 minutes to do plugs and wires on my HD .
