Default Please Help Me!!!!!

I think I am about to pull my hair out. First off I got my crank back from the machine shop today and on the way home it rolls and hit my block ( I had both in the bed of my truck), There is now a very small ding in the crank where the rods connect by the oil journal. Will this hurt anything? Next is I am wonder if my new set up is going to work? I know I will need to check the piston to valve clearance but I was told that the stock LQ9 pistons are not going to hang with my new set up. On the motor it is a LQ9 with patriot stage 2 ls6 heads 64cc 2.02/1.575, a comp cam 230/236 .591/.601 110lsa and all the supporting valvetrain componets, pacesetter long tubes, and 3" exhaust. I also have the 34 raditor, 05 truck fans, and a 200amp alt. The drive train is a 4l80e with a PI 3500 triple disk and a 3.73 powertrax locked rearend, Shifted by a B&M megashifter on the floor. My questions are is there anything wrong with this set up? And do I have to get aftermarket forged pistons? What kind of Hp will I be looking at with this set up? Is there anything I should change? I plan on a stroker later on down the road but not at this time. I don't want to spare any expense when building the stroker. For now I am broke and considering selling the block I have set aside for my stroker. I am open to any and all suggestions

IMO the pistons will be fine and so will the p to v clearance if a LS1 can get away with a 242/248 .608 .6~~ 112lsa T-Rex(thinks thats the specs) and no clearance issues you can get away with that cam. Just dont shave anything off the heads. I would bet close to 400 at the wheels. You definately ahve the stall for it. BTW looks like Ill be coming through Friday if I get the motor mostly done in the truck tonight. PM me your phone number that way I can get ahold of you easily if plans change

I would definately take it back by the machine shop and ask them about the ding on the crank. It's worth the effort in the long run.
Man, I would have had that crank on my floor board and the block riding shotgun!!!!
Sorry to hear about the mishap.

Next trip back from the machine shop, wrap that crank in some plastic to protect it.

Is the price of bearings more than the cost of another rebuild?

ONly need to purchase one bearing(two pieces) for it and ur good since it wont effect the other journals of the crank.

Well I also have another crank that came out of an LQ4. I may have him take a look at both and decide from there.
