Default 2000 5.3 z71 rough idle

My truck idles rough and when at idle the exhaust sucks air it also shows p0300 I'm stumped help please

P0300 a random cylinder misfire code.

You ideally should hook it up to a scan tool to determine what cylinders are misfiring and work from there. Make sure you have no vacuum leaks or exhaust leaks.

It's possible it needs a tune up, like new spark plugs and wires but doing a small amount of diag work first is a good idea.

I was reading up on it and I found some things that say the egr could be the culprit is that possible
