Default Please help!!!...

With the cam I have in my sig. I'm trying to figure out how much power I will gain with headers? just ordered some thorley ceramic coated longtube tri-y's. Most people claim aroud 20hp some people claim 50hp. I know theres alot of header questions on here but none of them say what kind of gains you can get after you've already done a cam swap. What do you think?

You should feel a difference. As to assigning a specific number to it, that will change depending on the temperature, elevation, the day of the week, the color shirt you have on, the dyno you use, the mood you're in, and how you tune for it. But if you must have a number, 20-30hp should put you in the ballpark.

Thanks for the reply. I know I cant get a specific number, and that everything to do with anything comes into play when talkin gpower gains. Just trying to find out if it was a huge gain or not from somebody who has around the same mods as me, or at least put headers on after they have had a cam for awhile.

I went from shortys to LT's w/ory and the engine went lean, after readjusting the fuel enrichment i felt it gained 20-25hp.

LT's will help that cam breathe better on the exhaust side and expel exhaust gasses quicker, and with proper tuning will provide positive gains that you'll feel with your butt-o-meter. I felt an improvement when going from shorty's to LT's...I swapped in a PCM that was tuned for them (mail order) and the whole combination helped.
