Default Pinging after Fast intake swap.

Well, here I am having audible pinging issues after swapping to a Fast 92/92. We used Fast fuel rails and aeromotive regulator and ran breathers. Truck started pinging real bad on drivers side on normal driving and ander WOT before re-tuning. I was running 29 deg's of timing before intake swap and no pinging and now we tuned at 25-24 degs and got rid of the pinging. Ran the truck and not only did the times dropped, so did the mph. It's summer now and hot as hell but I still didn't like what it did, It ran 12.6 @ 106mph after Fast, truck ran 12.5 @ 107mph a week before and running lean (no pinging) so there was an issue before (maybe). Not good, of course she ran 12.0 and 12.10's and it was on cold weather but was trapping 110 - 111mph so something's gone wrong somewhere.
I've been troubleshooting with no luck unless it's normal to drop 4-5 degs of timing from intakes swap. I've checked Fuel Pressure and it runs around 55 and normal driving and jumps to 60-62 at WOT and maintains. Changed plugs from TR55's to TR6's gapped @38 and it seems we were able to get 27-26 degs of timing but it's pinging again. Truck pings but it doesn't knock or show any Knock Retard ???? and runs fine, all this with a 12.7 A/F. Tried leaning the truck to 13.4 - 13.5 and it doesn't ping????...last night we left timing at 27 2nd 26 3rd and it's pinging some. Today I changed the fuel filter (dirty) and clean MAF (also dirty) but it's still pinging so I'll be lowering the timing some again...
I am thinking of changing the fuel pump as is the stock and has some miles on her and going with an intank Walboro, but I don't think that is the problem. My main question would be why it wasn't pinging before at 29 degs and now I have to run 24-25, is this normal?
I think I should be able to run more timing. The LQ9 and the 317's milled 30 thousands on stock gasckets so compression isn't too high, about 10:5.....
I'll keep troubleshooting and may run her again tomorrow but this sure is frustrating as hell....
By the way, Caltracks only helped me on not squating, she still spins getting 1.73's 60's....

are your rails clogged? for some reason your not getting the fuel you need your letting in alot of air but not running enough fuel? what injectors are you running i wouldnt be running anything less then a svo 30 on that truck. svo 30s are 36#ers. that would be what you should be running

I know when I received my rails I had some packing peanuts in them, I had to clean them out.

Running 36#'s Fast flow matched injectors.

Maybe shitty gas, just refilled again and put some additive to see how it does. Not sure about timing, computer not picking up any KR.

This ones came boxed and wrapped in paper, Pretty sure they were clean.

This is at WOT, could hear pinging after swap at cruising and slight acceleration w/29 deg. Runs fine at at 24-25 deg cruising and WOT. Sorry about the typo I meant 12.7 a/f.

I'll see how it does with some additive and depending on that may lower timing and test again tomorrow

i knjow what it is.......your intake is cracked!!!!! im willing to put the price of your itnake that you cracked it when you torqued it down. stock valley cover bolts are about 1/8" higher then they need to be. when you tightend the intake down they put indentations into the intake's floor. some even crack the intake. you will have to take the entire intake apart and expoxy the ntake. this is normal on fast intakes. youll need to go to store and buy new valley cover bolts that are shorter head or just grind your bolt heads down...... before pulling intake off get some carb cleaner or propane and spray it around the intake. im willing to bet the idle changes.....this is typical of the fast intakes. this is why you can get a used fast for 4-500 bucks

your sucking in unmeter'd air. no matter what you do its not goign ot be enough...pull intake and see

Don't think intake is cracked. Valley cover bolts were replaced with hex bolts from Fast.
