Here are some pics of L-EATERS custom intake that he made for the Whipple. Right now there are only the front pics of his setup, but there should be some more of the topview when he sends them. Here is the link,

I sent those pics to 1999 so he could get an idea what my made at home induction looks like. I am not a good picture taker and I don't know how to post pics so here goes the description...I used 4" pvc sewer pipe to go from the MAF straight down towards the ground. Once the pipe was clear of the frame I used a 90 degree elbow to go forward and to the driver side at about a 45 degree angle then a short piece of pipe to a 45 degree elbow (which is seen in the opening in the lower bumper) and then a short piece of pipe leading to the K and N which is 7" diameter by 9" long with a 4" inlet and is centered under the license plate where I cut the holes in the valance and then glued steel mesh (taken from some 6x9 speaker grills) on the inside. I painted it all satin black and it looks pretty much factory made and it seems to work really good.

Get rid of that clutch fan and shroud. You will be happy.
