Still think the home-brew PVC is best.... simple, straight forward, no BS... I dont like my Granatelli CAI Much... its restricted as well. I'll be building my own when I get some extra time to jack with it.

I have only started it in the garage and prodded the throttle a bit. I could not tell the difference between this unit and the stock unit as far as noise. I will have to check it out at WOT. I just got it finished late last night. I will take it for a spin after work tonight.

The part number is 17801346. I edited my first post to add a link to where I bought it. This was the cheapest place I could find.

I have not added the air filter "indicator" thingy yet. You have to drill a hole for this and my stepped drill bit only goes up to 1/2". I will have to get a larger one before I can put that gizmo in. I was going to put it behind the tube so you can see it from the passenger side, but can't see it when looking into the hood from the front of the truck.

I still want to get some dyno time and check the results.

Mike

Looks real nice. It looks like they were trying to keep the metal part away from the radiator as far as possible...

Dang! That is one good looking intake! The aluminum's clear-coated! A little pricey...

it is a nice kit, but i prefer the looks of the 77 series KN fipk kits, the tube on the KN doesn't make as sharp of bends as this one does. as for the filter element, I wonder how good it flows? i'd be surprised if it performed better than a KN fipk... just my .02

Looks great, especially with the polished top with the words GM Performance Parts.

I am actually considering this or a Fram Boost(whenever it comes out)!
