Crank end play was fine. The thrust bearing looks ok. Crank isnt too bad, but im sure it will have to be turned. Im hoping it will take no more than turning the crank and new bearings. I dont have the engine out yet, plan to have it out by next weekend. Once the engine it out i'm going to go talk to the builder again. A few people say it looks like it was overtorqued. What do yall think??
Scream...your not still driving yours area you?? Better stop now before it really tears up some stuff

No, it's been parked since before the New Year.
I'm still trying to decide what I want to do once it's out. If I can swing it, I might do a forged rotating assembly, but I'm just not sure what I wanna do yet. I did have someone ask about buying it last night, and it's got me thinking.

When you pull the engine, you're definatley going to want to go through the whole thing. There's a lot of material missing there, that got sent through the entire engine. That sucks man.
I hope they offer some type of warranty, because I'd be pissed. Good luck!

Bummer news, hope it goes back together soon.
Since the damage was to most/all the bearing surface, I would guess the tolerances were not checked properly and too tight. Over-torque usually causes an ovaling effect and wear in opposing areas.

You can't have anything can you! Sorry to hear about it, but I would hope that whoever assembled it would "help" with fixing it, at least getting the crank turned. I'm not so sure I'd want the same person messing with it again though, and either way the labor for the RandR is gonna be on you. Good luck bro!
