Sucks that you thought it was a 5.3 but it's a 4.8...but that could be a good thing. You can boost the **** out of that thing.

Wrong, 05, 06, and 07 classic trucks. Sierra and Silverado ECSB's mostly with the Z71 off road package is where they are most likely to be found. You can pick up a Gen IV LH6 or LC9 07+ and utilize a Lingenfelter conversion box, along with an LS3 valley cover with LS7 lifters to disable the AFM. That is if you're looking to stay at 5.3L.

Small 208/214 max area under the curve ~.550 lift cam will wake that bad boy up as long as valve events and overlap are spec'd nicely, as the 243 heads on those 5.3s have proven to flow pretty well box stock.
