Default Performance mods for Avalanche 2500

We have a 2002 Avalanche 2500 4x4 with the 8.1L and I am looking to increase the performance and fuel mileage. What can I do to increase the performance and mileage for a reasonable price (no superchargers) while keeping the reliablility. I was thinking air filter system, headers, cat back, and maybe a Power Programer. Are larger throttle bodies avalible?

I would prefer not to increase the loudness considerably since we do take the truck for long trips and the noise would get quite annoying. Maybe a performance RV muffler?

Thanks,
Eric

TOG headers, a Volant intake, Direct Hits ignition and a HPP3 will take you a fair ways for reasonable dollars - check my web site for other ideas.
