Default PCMforLess Nailed it! 99-02 PCM

Wahoo! Just got back from PA where I met up with Bryan Herter from PCMforLess. Super nice guy. Well, I've been battling false KR ever since my cam and spring swap (got a 99 ), and it's been totally killing my performance and defeating the purpose of the cam. Bryan hooked me up with a tuned 02 PCM and KR is gone! This thing is a torque monster now! The WOT performance is outstanding! And it shifts absolutely perfect, nice positive shift, no lag, no power loss.
I was just cruising along at about 25mph when I nailed it...it broke the tires loose and kept em loose. I finally know my cam's potential. Perfect for a daily driver in my opinion.
Next step is to run the wire from the alternator to the PCM to fix the flashing battery light, then it's a done deal. Thanks a ton Creederado and 99silver5.3 for all of your R&D and trial and error in figuring out the deal with the junk 99-00 PCM's and the secret weapon 02 PCM. And thanks to Nelson for working with Creed to find the fix. And thank you Bryan for making mine work, and work damn good!

Oh I thought there would be a fix with the '99 pcm no go. I pretty much don't use my knock sensors anyway. You just gotta know what you are doing. But having it actually functioning correctly would be nice.

Yea, I hoped so too...not sure what it would take to make it work, but the 02 PCM definitely seems to do the trick.

I have an 02 pcm coming from Nelson as we speak (type) I've been fight false knock sense I've got the turbo and probly before. I can't wait to get it. When it doesn't have the false knock it runs like a bat out of hell. But when the KR kicks in i get 7-8* Kr and it falls on its face. Thanks Creederado, 99silver5.3 and Allen.
